Jan weet het al jaren. Als ik kom met het plan naar een bepaalde stad te gaan, dan zit daar meestal een geweldige wolwinkel die ik wil bezoeken. Gewillig gaat hij altijd mee, want zo komen we op de leukste plaatsen. Maar toen ik afgelopen zondag voorstelde om naar New York te gaan, was het hem worst wat de aanleiding was. Hij was metéén om!
De dollar staat superlaag, dus we hebben meteen geboekt, ruim een week in een heerlijk hotel midden in Manhattan. Want als je het doet, dan moet je het goed doen.
Habu, Stitch ‘n Bitch New York en al die andere leuke hippe wolwinkeltjes (zie ook de laatste Handwerken zonder Grenzen), here I come, en ik ga beslist niet met een lege koffer naar huis!
Jan knows it for years now. When I make a plan to go to some city, there is most of the times a great yarn shop I want to visit. Willingly he always comes along, as we visit the nicest places this way. But when I suggested to go to New York last Sunday, it was not at all a problem to persuad him to come along. He was thrilled!
The dollar is not worth as much as some time ago, so we decided to book our trip right away. A full week in a wonderful hotel in the middle of Manhattan. When you do it, do it well.
Habu, Stitch ‘n Bitch New York and all these other nice hip yarn shops (see the last issue of Handwerken zonder Grenzen), here I come, and I will certainly not leave NY with an empty suitcase!
