Tijdens de opening van de Wool Week Shetland mocht ik het tweede exemplaar van Lekker Warm! Twijnend Breien uitreiken aan Hazel Tindall. Deze vriendelijke dame werd in 2004 en 2008 wereldkampioen snelbreien, maar maakt ook prachtige patronen, gebaseerd op de breitradities van de Shetland-eilanden. Ik moest haar natuurlijk wel even uitleggen dat ze weliswaar de eerste was die een exemplaar kreeg van Lekker Warm!, maar dat het het tweede exemplaar was. Voor wie het nog niet weet, het eerste heb ik op 1 november namelijk aan mijn schoonmoeder Greetje gegeven.

During the opening of the Wool Week Shetland I was allowed to present the second instance of So Warm! Twined Knitting to the Hazel Tindall. This kind lady won the world championship fastest knitting in 2004 and 2008, but also makes beautiful patterns, based on the knitting traditions of the Shetland Islands. Of course I had to explain to her that she was the  first to get a copy of Nice Warm!, but that it was the second copy. For those who do not know yet, the first copy was given to my mother in law Greetje on 1 November.
