Heerlijk zonnig weer is het, als ik de foto’s voor Life ‘n Knitting neem in de achtertuin. Maar liefst 17 graden vandaag. Daar kom je helemaal van bij, als je net binnen een uur lang bezig bent geweest met het aan elkaar zetten mbv de Kitchener Stitch van twee shawl-delen van de rode alpaca. Maar nu is ‘ie eindelijk af en morgen wordt ‘ie geblockt. Ja, natuurlijk ook straks een foto van de geblockte versie om het verschil te beoordelen. Ik verwacht dat ‘ie veel mooier wordt.
De Hundertwasser-sokken vorderen snel, ondanks dat het een no brainer is die alleen onderweg gebreid mag worden. Vooral de hiel en naadje achterop de hiel komen mooi uit.
En ondanks het lekkere weer toch verder met de Fair Isle-muts uit Interweave winter 2004 van Alice Starmore-wol.
Nice sunny weather it is in the Netherlands, when I make the photos for today’s update of Life ‘n Knitting in my backyard. It will be even 17 degrees Celsius today. And that’s a relief after being inside the house to craft two parts of the red alpaca shawl together with the Kitchener Stitch. But it is finally ready now and tomorrow it will be blocked. Yes, of course I will post photos of the blocked result so you can see the difference, which I think will be big.
The Hundertwasser-socks progress fast, even though it is a no brainer that I may only knit when I’m ‘on the road’. Especially the heel and the seam on the heel look good.
And despite the nice weather I knit along on the Fair Isle-hat from Interweave winter 2004 made of Alice Starmore-wol.
