Babymutsjes uit Rattenberg
Rattenberg is een prachtig stadje in Tirol bij Innsbruck. Behalve het beeldschone oude centrum met veel sieraden- en glaswinkeltjes heeft het nog een grote trekpleister, een enorme winkel en outlet van Giesswein. Ja, je weet wel, van de lekkere pantoffels, maar ook geweldige breisels. Jan en ik brachten in Rattenberg een middagje door. Lunchen, ijsje, toevallig orgelconcert in het mooie oude kerkje, kortom, goddelijk dagje. Maar de kers op de taart was de aankoop van drie prachtige gebreide babymutsjes voor het luttele bedrag van 12 euro. Ze lijken wel een beetje op Gelderse mutsen volgens breivriendin Anke.
Rattenberg is a beautiful city in Tirol near Innsbruck. Aside from the gorgeous old center with lots of jewelry and glass shops it has another big popular place, the enormous shop and outlet of Giesswein. Yes, the brand that makes the cosy slippers, but also great knitwear. Jan and I spent the afternoon in Rattenberg. Lunche, icecream, coincidently a concert in the beautiful old church, well, it was just a delightful day. But the best of all was buying three beautiful knitted baby hats for the small sum of only 12 euros. According to knitting friend Anke they resemble a bit the Gelderse mutsen (hats from Gelderland, a province of the Netherlands).
