Golden Kiri

Van bronskleurige KidSilk Haze breide ik de Kiri. Dit is een ‘verbeterde versie’ van de Birch van Rowan. De omslagdoek is gebaseerd op hetzelfde traditioneel Schotse stekenpatroontje, maar wordt van het nekpunt uit gebreid en heeft dus een betere pasvorm. Bovendien heeft de Kiri wel een mooie rand als afwerking die mooi in puntjes is te blokken.
Toch is geel, zelfs warm brons, niet echt mijn kleur. Tot dat ik zag wat het zonlicht deed met de shawl en de Kiri veranderde in een goudgele zee van licht.
From KidSilk Haze I knitted the Kiri in a bronze colour. This is the ‘improved version’ of the Birch from Rowan. The stola is based on the same traditional Scotisch stitch pattern, but is knitted starting in the neck which gives it a better shape. But the Kiri has also a nice border that can be blocked in nice points.
But yellow is not my colour. Not even this warm bronze. Until I saw what sunlight did with the shawl and changed the Kiri in a sea of golden light.
