Breidagen in Nieuwegein
Het aftellen tot de Breidagen in Nieuwegein is begonnen!
Ik geef er op beide dagen de workshop Breitechnieken uit Estland. De workshop duurt tweeënhalf uur en zit bomvol, want ik wil zoveel aan jullie kwijt over mijn geliefde Estland en de prachtige breisels die er worden gemaakt. Ik ga ervoor om je in die paar uurtjes zoveel mogelijk van het gesloten breiwerk (oa wanten) en kantbreiwerk te laten zienen te vertellen. En dan ook nog hands-on! Je gaat ook nog een aantal opzetten, kantsteken, interessante steken en afkantingen te laten uitproberen. Tja, zoals mijn trouwe klanten gewend zijn,….. het wordt flink doorwerken en daarna murw maar tevreden de beursvloer weer op.
The countdown till the Breidagen (Knitting days) in Nieuwegein has started!
I will be teaching Estonian Knitting Techniques on both days. It’s a two-and-a-half-hour class and is filled to the brim for I want to share with you so much of my beloved Estonia and the beautiful knitwear that is made there. In these few hours I will try to teach and show you as much as possible about closed knitting techniques (among other things mittens) and lace knitting. And then of course hands-on! You will also learn a number of cast-ons, edge stitches, other interesting stitches and cast-offs. Yes, as our faithful customers already know,…. you’ll have to work hard but then back to the fair, tired but contented.

Haha, ik word er gewoon bang van.
Zoals een echte ‘marathonloper’ betaamd, hou ik me nu even rustig zodat ik vrijdag op en top aan de start verschijn en ik de hele twee-en-een-half uur uit kan ‘draven’ in een top tempo en met top prestaties!!!
De marathon van de Brei en Haakdagen………….here I come!!!!
