I thought I was too busy to go to the Breidagen , but still managed a few hours. It was so nice with knitting friend Carolien and podcaster Susanne. And when you think that you will probably buy nothing, you end up finding all kinds of nice stuff…
I bought the Winter Woollies colours of Jamieson and Smith from British Wool, some Aade Long Astrid’s Dutch Obsessions for the workshop Roositud next week, practical demonstration darning needles Knitted Knots and a great mug Wereldwol. And at Erato they had miraculously the hysterical climax of the knitting rage of the eighties for sale. I have a copy already, but know someone who might like it….

Nancy Marchant, Queen of Brioche, was main guest and gave workshops and lectures, as Gieneke Arnolli curator textiles at the Fries Museum and Stella Ruhe, famous for her fishermens sweater books. And I found out that we have a new wool shop in Utrecht, Batts and Threads! They even sell Jamieson and Smith yarns. Also from the surroundings of Utrecht is the Wolkelder. They sell yarns from sheep from the region.

Two rooms full of stalls, knitting doctors, many friends and acquaintances to meet a and restaurants where they serve Zwollenaartjes, what more could you wish for?

What is that gorgeous red sweater you are wearing? Is a pattern available? I love it!
